PVC fittings come from industrial plant construction and are characterised by their high pressure resistance (up to 16 bar). Pipe systems made with this system are also very durable and cost-effective. Fittings with a maximum pressure resistance of 10 bar are usually sufficient for ponds. Before you glue the pipes, however, you should observe the following instructions:
sand the bonding surfaces of the pipe parts to be joined with fine sandpaper.
then clean the bonding areas with our PVC cleaner to remove dust and grease.
apply the adhesive to the joint and allow it to flash off briefly.
Put the parts together and turn them a little.
after about 8 seconds it is no longer possible to change the connection!
observe the specified drying time of the adhesive before pressurising the pipe and allowing water to reach the glued joints.
Always carry out all work only in well-ventilated rooms and seal the adhesive and cleaner immediately after use! Make sure that adhesive and cleaner do not get on textiles, as adhesive is almost impossible to remove and cleaner can cause discolouration.
