Ozone in pond technology
Ozone has been used for years to purify water and remove contamination (e.g. soil remediation) or stench. Due to the increasingly eff ective production of ozone gas, ozone is becoming an alternative purification technique in many applications. The big advantage is the environmental friendliness of this technique, in contrast to bactericides, chlorine, etc. Ozone is entirely composed of oxygen atoms and therefore cannot decompose into chemically harmful residues. Ozone is increasingly used in swimming pools as a substitute for chlorine. It prevents chlorine storage/transport, chlorine vapours and irritating and allergic reactions. In fish farming (fish breeding or ponds), ozone is used for good oxygenation of the pond water, killing of bacteria, removal of colourants, etc. Ozone is also used as a substitute for chlorine. Stress, diseases and mortality are reduced very effectively in this way. In water treatment, the strong reduction of COD by ozone is a great advantage (possibly in combination with UV). The removal of most dyes can also be achieved very well with ozone. Furthermore, ozone is used more and more in soil remediation. Ozone destroys cyclic hydrocarbons to normal hydrocarbon chains, which are then further degraded either chemically or biologically. Interestingly, the soil is not dug up. Soil remediation with ozone is in most cases cheaper than other techniques.

Static mixer Ø 75 mm
€139.90*
The static mixer is supplied complete with air valve. You can simply connect it to the existing piping system. The water flow is divided in the mixer under pressure, which creates a rotation. Due to the pressure, the air valve sucks in oxygen. The turbulent water flow is directed over the stainless steel paddle and the oxygen ismixed into the water quickly and efficiently (possibly with ozone).Result: oxygen well distributed in the water. The mixer creates a low water resistance. The mixercan also be used in a low-pressure system and thus be controlled by an energy-saving pump. In addition, themixer is maintenance-free due to its self-cleaning feature.
