Clay is a precious gift of nature. Our clay was formed about 150 million years ago. This
clay is extracted from open pits, carefully prepared, finely ground and granulated into
beads.

clay is extracted in open pits, carefully prepared, finely ground and granulated into beads.
At a blazing heat of over 1200°C, this filter clay is fired in a rotating rotary kiln
without artificial additives, pesticides or dyes. This process technology makes
the outer skin and the core extremely porous and creates a large surface area for the settlement of
bacteria. Settable surface 140 m3 per litre.
Ideally, the clay granulate is filled into filter media bags for multi-chamber filters (must be ordered separately!). This makes it easier to clean the filter, as the mesh bags are easy to
remove.
- Was developed for larger filter chambers.
- Reaches almost 100 % of its filter performance already in approx. 4 - 6 weeks.
- Can be left in the filter for a very long time.
- Is subsequently a good water reservoir and thus contributes
to soil improvement.
- Much lighter than gravel!
