Mode of operation: The UV water clarifiers clarify the water with the help of UV-C radiation. This UV-C radiation kills floating algae, protozoa and bacteria and ensures crystal clear water.
Safety instructions: The UV-C radiation produced by the special lamps is dangerous. Always disconnect the mains plug before cleaning or maintenance work. Directcontact with the skin or eyes can cause damage. Before switching on the unit, make sure that there is water flow in the unit to avoid temperature damage. When used outdoors, these units must be protected from frost in winter. We recommend dismantling the UV-C clarifiers.
ATTENTION: Never operate the unit under water!
Connection: The scope of delivery includes stepped hose nozzles that are shortened accordingly depending on the size of the hose used. The swivelling connections allow easy installation. Please make sure that the drain is at the highest point to avoid air bubbles in the housing.
Cleaning and maintenance: UV-C lamps have a service life of approx. 8000 operating hours and must be replaced regularly. It is advisable to change the lamps annually (preferably in spring) and to clean the quartz glass at the same time. Switch off the unit and stop the water supply. Now open the lower hose connection and completely empty the housing. Now carefully open the screw cap on the side of the unit. Be careful, the lamp is in the socket!
The ballast unit is maintenance-free.
