Wheat Germ - Health promoting feed with wheat germs
IZUMI Wheat Germ is a professional, optimally digestible feed that supports the health of the Koi. In addition to high-quality fish meal and fish oils, the feed contains a high proportion of wheat germ. These enrich the feed with natural vitamin E and linoleic acid, an easy-to-digest and high-quality protein source. To make the feed even more attractive for koi, krill meal is added. This professional feed is very digestible, even at low water temperatures. This ensures that the fish can take full advantage of the nutritional content of the food, while at the same time reducing water pollution.
Disease resistance
The feed is enriched with a prebiotic and probiotics to support the flora of the gastrointestinal tract. Both groups of substances improve digestion and the absorption of nutrients. IZUMI Wheat Germ also contains an immune stimulant (ß-glucan) to improve resistance to disease.
Positive for fish health
Japanese koi breeders recommend a wheat germ-based diet for carp-like fish, as this diet is particularly helpful in aiding the passage of food through the digestive system. This significantly reduces the risk of constipation or infection.
Feeding recommendation:
Feed 2 to 4 times per day depending on fish size and no more than the koi can eat within 5 minutes. Remove all uneaten food from the pond if you have fed too much. The koi's appetite decreases significantly when the water temperature drops below 10 °C; bear this in mind when feeding. Below a water temperature of 5 °C the koi should no longer be fed.
