- after setting up a new pond
- immediately after changing the water
- when introducing new koi
- when combining different koi groups
- in case of excessive fish stocking
- after administering medication
- in case of excessive feeding
- as a booster for the immune system
- in case of excessive algae growth and when the ammonia, nitrite or nitrate content is too high
