Elastomer end cap-20 mm
Flexible fittings offer numerous advantages for connections between PVC pipelines and especially for connecting PVC pipelines with materials that cannot be bonded or bond poorly, such as stainless steel, PP, PE, concrete and polyester. In addition, flexible couplings are very well suited for transitions from metric to English/American pipe dimensions
The couplings are very flexible and therefore can also be used well when lines are not exactly matched. Flexible couplings can also be installed or removed very quickly for system changes, test set-ups or temporary installations without the very labour-intensive and unhealthy gluing of connections
Flexible couplings can be used to connect lines even at temperatures below freezing, where gluing is not possible. Even in the case of broken pipes (e.g. due to frost), it is possible in many cases to carry out an (emergency) repair quickly with flexible couplings. In addition to the simple assembly of pipelines, the flexibility of the plastic parts offers the additional advantage that vibrations (e.g. from pumps) are damped. As a result, they also make a major contribution to preventing stress fractures in PVC pipelines
Advantages
- quick connection without gluing
- eliminate stresses in pipelines
- easy connection of PVC with PE, PP, stainless steel, cast iron, concrete etc
-easy transition from metric to inch
- dampens vibrations in pipelines
- no harmful adhesive/solvent vapours
- Can be installed in frosty conditions
- easy to dismantle and reuse
- simple emergency repair of pipelines
- for connecting elements that are not exactly matched to each other
